Euleane Woolridge Shar, affectionately known as Mama Leane, passed away on July 2, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 69. Born on August 8, 1955, in Harrison County, Texas, she brought light and joy to all who knew her throughout her life.
Euleane was a woman of deep faith and radiant spirit. Her love for God was evident in every aspect of her life—from her joyful singing around the house to her years of dedicated service in the church choir. Worship was not just something she did; it was part of who she was. Her voice lifted hearts and her presence brought comfort to many.
She had a gift for making people feel seen and loved. Whether it was a neighbor or a stranger on her daily commute, Euleane made it her mission to connect with others. She learned words in Spanish, French, Mandarin, and sign language so that she could communicate with all of God’s people—an embodiment of compassion and inclusivity that touched countless lives. In Fort Worth and beyond, many lovingly called her “Mama,” a testament to the warmth and care she extended to everyone around her.
Euleane’s family was the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her son Chauncey Garrett and his wife Felecia Garrett; her cherished grandchild Rylee P. Garrett; her brother Albert Woolridge Jr.; and her sister Rhonda Griffin and husband Chester Griffin. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews Jason Woolridge, Ashley Woolridge, and Alyssa Malone.

Mama Leane had a zest for life that shone through in everything she did. She loved to travel and found joy in watching football and track with her son—a shared passion that created lasting memories. Known for her exquisite handwriting, receiving a letter from Euleane was like receiving a piece of art; each word carefully crafted into calligraphic beauty.
Her vibrant personality was reflected not only in how she lived but also in how she dressed—always adorned in bright colors with her head held high. In honor of this spirit, the family requests that all attending services wear bright-colored clothing as a celebration of the light she brought into the world.
