Born in Edinburg, TX, but resided in Fort Worth, TX, Fernando went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1950, to the late Genero Villa and Maria de la Luz Galaviz.
Fernando was drafted into the Air Force to serve in the Vietnam War, completing four years of active duty and two years in reserves.
On April 20, 1974, he married the late Linda Rivera, and they enjoyed forty-two wonderful years together.
He graduated from Tarrant County College with an Associate's Degree in Political Science and Business Management. He was passionate about sports Fernando was a tremendous athlete, excelling in Softball, running Marathons, and Powerlifting.
He dedicated forty-seven years to the Post Office before retiring, after which he cherished spending time with family and watching sports.
Fernando is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Rocamontes and Melissa Villa; his brothers, Rogelio, now passed, Genero Jr. and Armando Villa; his four grandsons, Alonzo and Antonio Rocamontes, and Tristen and Dominic Sawyer; and his great-grandchildren, Noah and Layla Rocamontes.
