

Arrangements under the direction of Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX.Frank A. Morris of Granbury passed away on April 6th at the age of 92. He was born on October 5th, 1918, in Science Hill, KY and grew up in Cincinnati, OH. He moved to Texas to attend Texas A&M University and joined the Army Air Corps in 1941 as a navigator when WW II began. In 1943, he married Wanda Crumpton of Arlington. He was stationed at various locations throughout the south Pacific while serving in the 69th squadron, 38th bomb group and was decorated for his service. After the war ended, he returned and graduated from SMU. He worked in the oil and gas industry and during his career resided in Dallas, Amarillo and Midland, TX, where he retired in 1983. Upon the death of Wanda in 2006, he relocated to Granbury. He is survived by Mike and Elaine Morris and Cathy and Randy Rawls along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was a devoted father who will always be remembered for his kindness, unselfishness, generosity, positive attitude and sense of humor and he left an imprint on everyone’s heart.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel with interment at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to Fisher House Foundation offering assistance to the families of military personnel.
