It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary Newell Acrey, who went to be with Jesus on February 28, 2025, at the age of 70, following a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He met many challenges over the past few years with humor and grace. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his caregivers from AlevCare Hospice, as well as his private caregivers. They are angels on earth who extended love and excellent care.
Gary was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was born to Wendell and Dorothy Acrey in Fort Worth, Texas on January 7, 1955. He was well known for his knowledge, his sense of humor, and his kind and gentle spirit. He had a gift for making everyone he met feel loved and important. Gary loved Jesus, his family, his friends, animals, watching football, Star Trek, and the Three Stooges.
