Gayle S. Lacy Jr of Fort Worth, TX passed away unexpectedly on February 1st. Gayle attended OU and Texas Wesleyan and graduated with degrees in Sociology and Archeology. He retired from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of Mensa.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who loved all things nature, as well as cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. He was a kind and patient teacher to his children and loved to share his knowledge of history, science, the natural world, camping, hunting and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Kelly L. Lacy. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years Denise Papis Lacy, his daughter Shelley M. Lacy, son and daughter-in-law Gregory S. and Britney Lacy, brother and sister-in-law Gary S. and Karen Lacy.
Services are to be held at Laurel Land located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134 on Saturday, February 12th. Visitation begins at 2, with services to follow at 3.
