He was married to Billie E. Wreay on Dec. 12, 1945 until her death in 1992. He later was married to Pauline Stewart in 1997 until her death in 2014.
Guy was a long standing member of Cana Baptist Church. Guy worked as a bookkeeper at General Dynamics until retiring in 1975. He later worked in the janitorial services for the Mansfield Post Office. After retiring from the post office he enjoyed his passion of propagating roses. He was known as the "Rose Man". People would come for one and leave with 8-10. His motto was "Same price for saint or sinner, zero".
He is survived by one son, Clifford West, of Burleson and three daughters, Charlotte Justice and husband Wayne of Burleson, Bettye Shelton and husband Danny of Aquilla and Kay Hall of Burleson. He has 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
His life was blessed beyond measure.
Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the main chapel of Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd, Ft. Worth, Texas 76134. Graveside will immediately follow.
