Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, April 7, 2023, at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Memorial Funeral Home. Arrangements are by the Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Ira W. Flanagan was born in Wellington, Texas to William Bryant Flanagan and Gladys Maud Holland on February 17, 1932. He went to school at Wichita Falls. He married Mary Harrison on April 7, 1961. He later married Stacey F. Flanagan. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War era. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was a disabled veteran. Ira and his wife, Stacey, both enjoyed travelling as a pastime. They had an opportunity to travel and see all the 50 states in the Nation. This was an experience he fondly remembered.
Ira is preceded in death by his wife, Stacey Flanagan; his brother, Neal Flanagan; his sister, Billie Joe Funk; his parents, William and Gladys Flanagan; and his nephews, Michael Henry Julian and Vincent (Tony) Anthony Flanagan.
Ira is survived by his twin sister, Irene Siegel; his nieces: Christine Marie Herrera and husband, Robert, Carolyn Ann Elliott, and Catherine Denise Stetson and husband, Mark; and his nephew, John Joseph Julian and wife, Dora.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all other nieces and nephews.
