

Jack was born on May 1, 1936 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Charles and Juanita Perkey. He attended Fulton High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. After high school graduation, he joined the Air Force and served in the Air Police for 4 years.
After he was discharged from the Air Force in 1959, he worked as a machinist for several companies before retiring from Howell Instruments in Fort Worth in 2001. In retirement, he dedicated much of his time to numerous mission trips and remained actively involved in serving his church.
On June 13, 1958 Jack married the love of his life June Button. He worshipped at the First United Methodist Church of Burleson for 55 years.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Juanita Perkey; his brothers Lee Perkey and John Perkey.
Jack is survived by his wife June Perkey, his son Bill and his wife Melinda; his son Jim and his wife Kim; and his daughter Vickie; his grandchildren: Taylor Perkey, Mason Perkey, Justin Perkey and his wife Morgan, and Jacob Perkey; his great-granddaughter Wyatt Perkey and many other family members and friends.
Jack cherished time with his family and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed sports--especially following the Texas Rangers-- and was thrilled to see them win their first World Series in 2023. He also had a love for watching classic westerns.
He took great pride in his four grandsons and found special joy in welcoming his first granddaughter-in-law, and most recently, his great-granddaughter.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 beginning at 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. A Celebration of Life for Jack will be on Monday, April 27, 2026 at First United Methodist Church of Burleson beginning at 10:00 AM.
