He was born in Crowley, July 29, 1933 to Ernest Ray and Odella Clara Carson. James loved his family and could be counted on anytime there was a need. He was a military minded man. James proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. While serving in Vietnam, working in security he was gifted a German shepherd that sparked a love for this type of dog. He raised many more through his lifetime. James was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Billy and Dorman Carson and a sister, Beatrice Carson. Those left to cherish his memory are wife of 34 years, Thelma Joyce Carson; children, Vicki, Lisa and Michael Carson, Billy and Debbie Stewart, Joye and Michael Enwright, Lana and Tim Allen, and Delores and Danny Jeffries; brother, Robert Carson; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
