James was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Camp Point, Ill., to Irl F. and Martha M. Ferguson; however, he was a true Texan at heart. He met his wife, Fay, in Waco while serving in the Air Force. James settled in Fort Worth where he raised his family and embraced Texas life and proudly wore his cowboy hat and boots on a regular basis. He owned a moving business where he loved to move people out of town or state because he loved to travel. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David.
