It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jay Brett-Nicole Gilliam, who left us on February 8, 2026, at the age of 87. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Born as Jackie Bea Errington on January 21, 1939, in Jasper County, Texas, Jay was the child of Albert and Nina Errington.
Throughout her life, Jay was known for her sense of humor, love of travel and the mountains, especially Jackson Hole, WY. Jay is survived by her son Kevin Coats and wife Dondi, daughter Sondra Beck and husband Jimmy, grandchildren Tyler, Lacey and Danielle, great-grandsons Dax and Bo, sister Jean Delafosse and many more family and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by parents Albert and Nina, husband Raymond, and sisters Elaine and Katheryn.
The family deeply appreciates the love and support during this difficult time.
