

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday January 10th at Dignity Funeral Home, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth with the Rev. Ramiro Rodrigues of City Point United Methodist, officiating.
Jean was born in Penarth, Wales, UK to Harold and Bernice Flower on November 19th, 1930. He/she went to school at St. Georges, Bristol, England. At the outbreak of World War II she was evacuated to the English countryside where she spent 4 years separated from her parents and away from the bombing. She married Thomas Russell in Bristol. Jean worked in accounting for several notable English companies before moving to Fort Worth in 1970, where she worked for American Bakeries and White Swan. A resident of North Richland Hills for over 40 years, Jean was a keen gardener and was involved in many activities and organizations including the Fort Worth Darts Association, and, later, the American Council for the Blind. She played the piano and was an enthusiastic and talented singer and performer who sang with, and for, many of the local Senior Centers and other local organizations.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband Tom.
Jean is survived by her son, James Russell and daughter Susan Young.
Memorials may be given to Greater American Council of the Blind Fort Worth.
