Jenetta Lee Gilliland

She was born to Wallace Clay and Onie Clay in Fort Worth, Texas on July 14, 1934. She met her love, Claude Gilliland Jr., and married him on June 5, 1953. Together they had 4 children: Teresa Tucker, Bruce Gilliland, Claude Gilliland III, and Dennis Gilliland. They also shared 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Jenetta loved the Lord with all her heart and she loved singing praises to him. She was a special singer in regular demand with a favorite song “I Am Feeling Mighty Fine”. She enjoyed gardening in her younger years. She also treasured the time spent with her family. She retired from Petro Rubber in Joshua, Texas. She was a faithful member of Gateway Assembly of God in Trinidad, Texas. She was loved for her sweet “colorful” relationship with her church family.

She was survived by her children Teresa and Joe Tucker of Kerens, Bruce and Christy Gilliland of Alvarado, Claude and Vicki Gilliland of Cleburne, and Dennis Gilliland of Kilgore; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Gilliland Jr., her Mom, Dad, and all of her brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12:30pm on January 2, 2021 at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Crowley Rd in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be held at the same location at 11:30am, January 2, 2021.
