Jimmie Carroll Roberson, 79, died on May 25, 2019, from complications of Alzheimer’s and pneumonia. Service will be at: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, Fort Worth at 1:00 pm, on May 30, 2019. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the services. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Jim was born in Fort Worth at City/ County Hospital, now John Peter Smith Hospital, to Eddie Lee and Minnie Faye Ansley Roberson. Jim graduated from Handley High School in 1958. In May 1963, he married Melinda Mitchell. He and Melinda met on a blind date set up by his cousin. They were married for 56 years.
Jim served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1962 to 1968. His rank was Corporal when he was honorably discharged.
Jim employed by Cook Paint and Varnish for 20 years. He was later employed by Sherwin- Williams Paint Company. He retired in 2005 after 20 years at Sherwin- Williams Paint Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Jackie Lee Roberson; his aunt Juanita Roberson Kennedy.
Survivors are his wife Melinda Mitchell Roberson.
