John Raeford Little Sr.

John R. Little Sr. passed from this life at his home in Fort Worth, Tx., at the age of 91 and docked his ship on God’s shore on December 22, 2020. He was born to Raeford Little and Nora Peele on February. 23, 1929 in Rocky Mount, NC.

He was drafted into the Army in 1951 to serve in the Korean conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1952 after having been wounded during battle, receiving the Purple Heart and other medals. He signed up with the Air Force and served for more than 22 years. He was a true patriot. He enjoyed taking classes in college, and earned two different associate degrees. His hobbies included music and computers. He enjoyed being fully retired, daily excursions around town with his wife, eating out, family events, and going to church. He loved his God, his family, and his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marie Gupton and Marion Little.

He is survived by his wife Virginia Little of Fort Worth, Tx; son, John Little Jr. and wife Constance of Bowie, Tx.; daughter, Melinda Cole and husband Mike of Fort Worth, Tx.; grandson, Jonathan Little of McKinney, Tx.; granddaughter, Candace Mays and husband Lucas of West Monroe, La.; granddaughter, Laura Fishback and husband Joel of Fort Worth, Tx.; great granddaughter, Micah Little of Burnsville, Ms.; great grandson, Vincent Fishback of Fort Worth, Tx., and various nieces and nephews.
