

John "Jack" Edwin Pickwoad, 69, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13th 2022 at home with loved ones by his side. A funeral will be held Wednesday August 3rd 2022 at 11am at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Fort Worth. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Jack was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Josephine and Ed Pickwoad on September 18th, 1952. He was raised and educated in Severna Park and Annapolis, Maryland. Jack worked at HARMS engineering firm before relocating to DFW area where he worked at the City of Fort Worth as a Landscape Architect, retiring in 2012. His hobbies included hunting, sailing, golfing, and fishing. Jack was a sailing instructor at the Annapolis Sailing School for 10 years. Captain Jack Pickwoad held a US Coast Guard 50 ton Master License. He was most proud of his transatlantic sailing excursion to Bermuda, the Azores, and England.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Edwin "Ed" Pickwoad. Jack is survived by his loving Life Partner: Debra "Debbie" Smith of Fort Worth, Texas. His Mother: Josephine "Jo" Pickwoad of Sun City West, Arizona. Two Children: Son, John Patrick "JP" Pickwoad (Sydney) of San Diego, California and Daughter, Anne Margaret Pickwoad of Dallas, Texas. Three Siblings: Mike (Vickie) Pickwoad of Scottsville, Virginia, Claire Pickwoad of Surprise, Arizona and Gary (Angela) Pickwoad of Parrish, Florida. Several: nieces, nephews, and cousins. Former Spouse: Lauren Midgley (Don) of Irving, Texas. Bonus Daughter: Kathryn Rose Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
