

Rosary will be starting at 6:00PM Thursday January 21, 2021 at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel with visitation immediately following from 6:30-7:30PM.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, January 22, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 214 NW 20th St, Fort Worth, TX 76164.
Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 N Sylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76111. Arrangements are by Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel.
John Ruelas was born in Fort Worth, Texas to John Ruelas Sr. & Maria (Hernandez) Ruelas on October 5, 1938. He went to school at Fort Worth Trimble Tech high school. He married Juanita Ayala on December 14, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas. He worked at Acme Machine Company as a machinist, Component Parts as a machinist and manager, and Bracketry Systems Inc. where he retired as a machinist consultant.
John was a kind hearted man that put God and his family first. He was a leader, role model, mentor and father figure to many and led by example. John’s home was always open to family and friends. He worked hard to provide for his family and was always willing to help others in need. John was a soft spoken man, but when he spoke everyone would listen. His words were meaningful and echoed out loud. John had a contagious smile that brought joy to others around him.
John was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. John coached at Sabine Jarvis Little League and also served as President for the little league. John was a member of the Fort Worth Knights of Columbus and a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
John is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vivian Ann; brothers, Frank, Aniceto, Manuel; and sisters, Antonia Espinosa, Juanita Araujo, Beatrice Harley.
John is survived by his wife- Juanita A Ruelas; son, John Anthony Ruelas; son, Kenneth Ruelas Sr and wife, Cindy; son, Thomas Ruelas and fiancé, Sally Pantoja; daughter, Laura and husband, Alan Penuel; son, Eric Ruelas and wife Maureen. Brother, Louis Ruelas and sister- Nancy Lewis. Grandchildren- Kenneth Jr., Diana, Lisa, Madison, Hannah, Tyler, Daniel and Adam. Great grandchildren; Santiago, Maiya and Perla Ruelas; Dominik, Sebastian and Alejandra Aguina; Giovanni and Jacqueline Vasquez; McKinley and Walker Bratcher; and Harper Fergeson.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Ruelas, Adam Ruelas, Daniel Ruelas, Kenneth Ruelas Jr, Vincent Martinez Sr., and Michael Ruelas.

Family and friends, the funeral home is allowing a maximum of 75 people inside the chapel. Mask and social distancing are required. Also be mindful of physical touching. During visitation we ask that you please limit your time inside the chapel to allow everyone time to come in and pay their respects. For the safety of all, mask will be required at of the services. If you are not feeling well, we ask that you please do not attend. If you are uncomfortable and not able to make it, the family completely understand. Due to covid, please honor and respect the guidelines for social distancing.
