John Vela, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 23, 2014.
John was born January 3, 1934, in Kyle, Texas, to Ernesto Vela and Ysabel Regalado.
Survivors: his beloved wife, Tomasa Aguirre Vela; Children, Theresa R. Helfrich and Patricia V. Gomez; grandchildren, Raymundo Gomez, Cassandra Gomez, Rebecca Helfrich, Rachel Helfrich and Thomas Helfrich; and many other loving family members and friends.
