

Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday, June 26 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth.
Viewing will be from 9-10 am, Monday, July 2 at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Houston, 77038 followed by the graveside service at 10:30 am at the Houston National Cemetery.
He was one of six children born to Roland Kennedy and Ruth Mae Hendry Kennedy. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, TX in 1961. He joined the United States Army in 1962 where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. After serving his country, he worked for General Electric. He also worked for Brown and Root Marine division where he was in charge of robotic welding. During that time he worked overseas and traveled throughout Scotland, Holland and Egypt. He later returned to General Electric and was awarded the Golden Service Award for 29 years of service before retiring in 2003. Johnsa was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Kennedy; his son, Johnsa Kennedy, Jr.; his daughter, Michelle Kennedy; his stepdaughters, Rhonda Archie and Kristie Potts; his 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters; Royce and Sheila Kennedy; Joyce and Bob Cohen; his twin sister, Judy and Harold Prichard; Roland (R.E.) and Debbie Kennedy; and Becky and Bob Johnson.
