Jose G. Reyes Vasquez, known to many as Jerry, passed away on February 15, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on December 27, 1945, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He was the beloved son of Rosario Reyes Velez and Francisca Vazquez. Jose proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating dedication and discipline that remained with him throughout his life. He later majored in Accounting and went on to build a respected career where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
In 1990, he made Texas his home where he continued raising his family. Jose loved baseball, golf, dancing, and music, and he had a special way of bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. Known as a jokester, he had a playful spirit and a great sense of humor that kept those around him smiling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalinda Mendoza; his brother, Hector Reyes; his brother-in-law, Ignacio Rosalez, Jr.; his children, Jose Reyes, Linnette Reyes-Williams, Albert Reyes, and Michael Reyes; his stepdaughter, Tricia Mendoza; and his goddaughter, Kimberly Hernandez. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren.
