Josephine "Josie" Jordan

A pillar of love and strength, Josephine dedicated her life to family, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

A Visitation for Josephine will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.

Josie was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Pete and Frances Hernandez on June 23, 1947. She married James Jordan on March 15, 1967.

Her greatest joy in life came from the time spent with her cherished great-grandchildren, who she adored beyond measure. Whether it was attending their school events, sharing wisdom over long car rides, or simply being their biggest cheerleader, Josie made every moment with them unforgettable. She taught them the value of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations.

Josie is survived by her granddaughter Sara Schulte and her husband Nick, with their two children Emma and Logan, her grandson Thomas Strickland and his wife Jamie, with their 5 children Dylan, Kari, Kylie, Kaylie, and James. Her grandson Nathan and his wife Alex, with their two children Regina and Marriam. Along with numerous friends who will forever treasure her vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Jordan, her parents, two daughters Angela and Brenda, and brother Robert Hernandez.

Pallbearers will be Junior, Thomas, Ramiro, Nathan and Gabriel.
