A ninth grade dropout with a GED decided to attend nursing school at 30. She worked tirelessly to reach her goal. She demonstrated to us that no matter the situation there was always a solution.
A Visitation for Leslie will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112 with a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park.
She was chosen to be part of a panel of nurses and administrators that wrote some of the long term care laws in this state. She ran long term care facilities for most of her career. Her most impressive accomplishment was being married to Donnie Max Crane (preceded in death 3 years ago) for 53 years. She would tell people that marriage is hard but hang in there because it gets better. Together they built a life of service to God and people. Their example of servitude and love show us how to live the good and faithful life.
She is survived by her two children, Faith Slusher and Brad Crane, their spouses Richard Slusher and Jenny Scaccia. She is also survived by four Grandchildren, Brandon Crane, Brooke Crane, Ryder Scaccia, and Gianna Scaccia. Her sisters, Joann Mewbourn and Juanita Williams and many nieces and nephews.
