Obituario de Judy Carol Weed
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home

Judy Carol Weed, 82, of Fort Worth, passed away on February 28, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1944, and lived a life full of creativity, warmth, and simple joys.

Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and was a talented and crafty soul who found happiness in working with her hands. She cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed pottery, painting, and especially sewing—an art she mastered and shared generously with others. Her skills touched many in her community, including the Crowley High School cheerleading team, for whom she lovingly made uniforms. She also sewed for the school band and created outfits for a local group of square dancers, leaving a lasting impression through her handiwork. The money she earned from her sewing helped fund a memorable trip to Las Vegas that she and Virgil shared, a story they both cherished.

Beyond her creative talents, Judy embraced life’s simple pleasures and brought joy to those around her. She loved camping and never passed up a fun outing to the casino. Judy also had a playful spirit, often trying her luck playing the lottery, and enjoying games of Texas Hold ’Em. She took great pride in finding the best bargains while shopping-she truly enjoyed the thrill of a good sale.

Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Virgil Weed; son, Allan Grissom and daughter Carla Grissom; stepdaughter, Valerie Ritchie; brother-in-law, Darrell Weed Sr. and friend, Dorothy Antkowiak; sister-in-law, Theresa Moore; brother-in-law, Stan Slavinksy (Debbie); numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Hall and Lila Faye Hall; sisters, Linda Hall and Bonnie Masterson; mother and father-in-law, Ivy and Tom Wheeler; sister-in law, Caroline Weed; and brother-in-law, Richard Moore.

Judy will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity, and the love she stitched into everything she made. She leaves behind fond memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
