A Funeral Service for Kathryn will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112. Burial to follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who met her. Born on November 27,1934 in Eau Claire, WI, Kathryn was the child of Wilber Hartwell and Muriel Duncan.
Throughout her life she was known for care and respect for others. Kay was a registered nurse and served in that profession for many years and was also the director of the Azle food bank for 10 years. She received the award of volunteer of the year in 2000 for the city of Azle, Texas.
Kay is survived with deep sorrow by Gerald Brown, her husband of 69 years, her sons Jeffery, Robert and James and many more family and friends.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
Kay's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
