Kenneth (Kenny) Wayne Baker of Fort Worth, TX, passed peacefully from this earth on September 1, 2021, after a brief illness. Kenneth was born September 24, 1958, raised and lived his entire life in Fort Worth and Tarrant County. The son of John Neely Baker and Bessie Jorgenson Baker, he was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Kenny worked alongside his family in the family pest control business, International Exterminator, for his entire career. Kenneth graduated from Western Hills High School, Fort Worth, TX. Kenneth attended Texas A&M University and the University of North Texas pursuing a degree in engineering. He was a lifelong member of Ridglea Presbyterian Church. Kenny was the fun uncle and great uncle that gave the kids “cool” presents. He was the guy behind the camera at family gatherings, documenting the joy of family and the opening of gifts. Kenny was a member of the Sports Car Club of America and Equipe Rapide and enjoyed racing cars. He took up making and flying radio-controlled airplanes. He was a member of the Weatherford Aero Modeling Society. He traveled with family and friends, venturing to Hawaii and Alaska, various National parks, and Canada. He loved racing, his Mazda Miata and his little trailer used to haul tires to the races. His love of cars and racing was shared and enjoyed with three generations as he brought out the old hot wheels track, assembled it and the racing was on. Kenneth is survived by his brother, Steve Baker (Roxanne Pillar); niece Renee Shattuck (Bill); nephew, Alec Baker (Emily) and three great nephews – Ethan, Julian, and Beau. On September 15, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. a Remembrance Gathering will be held at Ridglea Presbyterian Church, 5000 Southwest Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76116. A Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Ridglea. A graveside service will be at held at 11:30 a.m. the same day at Rose hill Cemetery, 7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112. The graveside service will be followed by refreshments at the Shannon Rose Hill facility. Memorials: American Cancer Society.
