Kevin Eugene Ritchie went to be with our heavenly father on December 30, 2025, after a brief illness.
Kevin was born in Torrejon De Ardoz Spain, Madrid Province on November 8, 1970, to his parents Norman Ritchie and Phyllis Babbage while serving in the US Air Force before returning to the US in 1974.
Kevin was an avid sport fan throughout his youth by participating in various sports starting in Blue Raiders football and baseball, his favorite. This continued on to playing guard on the basketball team for Crowley High School. He also got great joy out of riding his motorcycle. Being small in stature throughout his life, he was always the leader of the pack of many friends. While attending Crowley HS he was famous for leading a caravan to Padre Island during spring break three years in a row. In recent years he had a great interest in cooking. It wasn’t unusual for him to be on the patio at three in the morning grilling steaks and ribs.
After graduating Crowley High School in 1988, he went on be an optical technician at Luck Optical for over 20 years.
Kevin accepted Christ in his life by being baptized along with his beloved brother at Rising Star Baptist Church at an early age in 1988.
He is preceded in death by his dear mother Phyllis Ritchie and his brother Todd Ritchie who he loved and adored.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy and love, his father Norman Ritchie, sister Leah S. Ashraf, beloved daughters Shellie Ritchie, and Ava Sesay (AJ), grandchildren Keanna, KJ, and Milie, nieces Jenee, Jazmine and Marciya, and nephew Jaxen, and a host of friends.
