

Kristian Tolouise Smith (KT) peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on February 17, 2025, at the age of 37.
A bouncing baby boy, Kristian Tolouise Smth, was born to the late Winfred Smith and Belinda Lawson Smith-Lamb on July 6, 1987 in Arlington, Texas. Even as a young child, Kristian was known for his sweet spirit, infectious smile, and compassionate heart.
He attended school in the Arlington Independent School District and graduated from Seguin High School, Class of 2005, where he played basketball and formed lifelong friendships. He furthered his education at Texas Southern University in Houston, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2012. Kristian used his business expertise to create his own music and clothing design company, Stay Chose. His creativity and dedication to his craft were truly remarkable.
While living in Houston Kristian met the love of his life, Joy Lewis. They married on November 5, 2021. They made their home in Houston, Texas.
At an early age Kristian was baptised and gave his life to Christ. He was a faithful, lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, located in Mansfield, Texas, under the leadership of Dr. Rev. Michael A. Evans, Sr. He sang in the youth choir, ushered, and participated in various other capacities in the youth ministry.
Kristian brought joy to everyone he encountered. He was truly the life of the party, always ready to keep the celebration alive with his smooth dance moves and uplifting energy!
Kristian was preceded in death by his father, Winfred Smith; his grandfather, Willie Lawson Sr.; his grandmother, Gladys Lawson; and his uncle, Willie Lawson Jr.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Joy Lewis Smith; his devoted mother, Belinda Smith-Lamb (Rev. Douglass Lamb); his brothers, Brandon Lawson (Kandi); and Durande’ Smith; his sister, Temeka Glover (Derrick); his uncles, Lonnie Lawson (Vicky); Todd Lawson (Evelyn); Abbie Winkfield (Bonnie); Leary Winkfield (Annie); and Thurman Smith; his aunts, Janice Williams; Beverly Brooks; Laurene Hill; Jessie Forsythe (Randy) and his cherished nephew, Brandon Jr. ("BJ"). He also leaves behind a host of great aunts/uncles, cousins, relatives, dear friends and four special cousins - Shawnna, Nedra, Drej, and Neka who will forever treasure his memory.
Kristian’s presence was a gift to all who knew him. His love, laughter, and unwavering kindness will never be forgotten. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of those he touched.
He will be deeply missed.
