He received his High School Diploma from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas. This year, he was preparing to get his HVAC Certification. He was eager to provide a stable income and life to support himself and to help his family. He loved toe color blue, he hated eating chicken, but he did like the wings!
Growing up in Illinois, he was taught to serve Jesus Christ. As he grew older, he learned to fear God and decided to accept Him into his life. LaMonte' Watkins was baptized for the remission of his sins and he lived his young life with great respect for the work of the Lord. He even made time to be the glue that held his family together. Laughter was the way he spoke, but it was his smile that made us listen. LaMonte' Robert Watkins transitioned from this earthly life on, Friday, February 11, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Jones and James Watkins, and his uncle Rod Jones. He is survived by his parents, Monte' Watkins and Mahogany Jones; his grandmothers, Paula French and Evangelist Ann Willis; great grandmother and great grandfather, Willa B. Hamilton and Senior Pastor James H. Hamilton, SR.; older brother, Reginald J. Williams; older Sister, Paula U. Williams; younger sisters, Shamiyah S.A. Watkins, and Jayda L. Watkins; younger brothers, Devin H. Watkins and Kameron Watkins; nephews, Messiah L. Futrell and Nasir A. Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
