

Memorial service: 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She was born Leona Bell Delp in Jonesboro, Ark., on April 3, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Ray and Dorcas Delp; her husband of 28 years, Don M. Glass; their sons, Tommy Ray Glass and Bobby Wayne Glass; and her second husband, Fred Rea.
Leona and her husband, Don Glass, operated Westwood Plumbing in Wedgwood for many years and were very active in the Associated Plumbing Contractors of Fort Worth and its auxiliary. They were also active members of Wedgwood Baptist Church where they made many lifelong friends. Leona found her greatest pleasure in helping others. After Don's death, she volunteered at Baylor-All Saints Hospital. In 2011 she was recognized for 12,000 volunteer hours during her 34 years of service there. For many years she was also active in the Adult Education Program at Tarrant County College, South Campus, as well as the choir and Sunday school at South Cliff Baptist Church.
Leona's creativity was seen everywhere in her home. She was always busy with crafts, watercolor painting, gardening, and cooking. Leona also enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. She found pleasure in whatever she was doing and brought pleasure to those who were around her. Her smile and laughter were contagious, and she never met a stranger.
Survivors: She is survived by her granddaughters and their families, Angela Glass and Alex Goff and their children, Viviana and Britton, Jennifer Glass Brittain and Jim Brittain, and children, Giselle Glass, and Lola and Augustus Brittain. She is also survived by her brothers and their wives, Bill Ray Delp II and Trudy Delp, Dr. Don Delp and Ann Delp; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
