

Born August 1st, 1948, to Maj. Charles Milton Jenkins Sr. And Mildred Byrd in Kyoto Japan US Air Base she grew up in Arlington TX. Linda had a brother Charles Jenkins Jr. Linda Graduated high school from Sam Houston high in Arlington and from there studied at Tarrant county Junior College before finishing university at Texas Christian University during which time she met R Ted Anthony on a blind date at a Dairy Queen set up by mutual friends.
They were married on November of 1977 in Fort Worth TX for 44 years until his passing on November 7th 2022. she was a graduate of the Nursing program at TCU in 1979. She worked as a registered nurse at various private clinics, hospitals and home health care facilities . She was active in many charitable organizations as well as fostering children through an exchange student program. She and Ted adopted 6 special needs children that they raised in Fort Worth TX.
She was interested and participated in genealogy and faith based groups. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Daughters of Colonial Wars and Adopting Children Together (ACT). She attended Arborlawn Methodist Church in Fort Worth and bible studies. She enjoyed teddy bears, football, classic rock and roll music, was a member of the Cowtown Corvette Club in Fort Worth TX where she would track race her C4 Corvette. She was a great friend, neighbor, mother and grandmother. She always had a smile on her face and joy to bring to all those in her life. Linda and Ted spent their remaining years living at Ridgmar Place Independent Living Apartments they made many friends with whom they made good memories with together.
Preceded in death by her husband R Ted Anthony (2022) (they will be laid to rest together at Laurel Land), and her brother Charles Jenkins (2013), and her unborn baby Bruce.
Linda is survived by her children Annie Elizabeth Anthony, Charles Christopher Anthony, Catherine Michele Anthony, Patricia Anthony, Alexander Anthony, Tim Anthony, TJ Fields-Anthony and her grandchildren Ella Rose and Amelia Johnson, Meagan Anthony.
A visitation for Linda will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 9651 - Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
