

Luveta Thompson Clay was born December 6, 1933, in Price Texas to the late Lonnie Lasalle Thompson and Emma Shed Medford.
She met and married Willie Clay, Jr. in Rusk County and they were married over 50 years before his passing. To this union a son was born, David Lee Clay who they loved and cherished very much.
Luveta was employed for several years for the U.S. Postal Service.She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister, cousin and aunt to all of us who was blessed to have shared this earthly home with her.
On Monday, March 4, 2024, Luveta Thompson Clay left her wordly home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. She is now united in peace with her parent; Lonnie Thompson, mother; Emma S. Medford, her husband; Will Clay; brothers; Wheeler and Jimmy Thompson and sister; Jearlene Thompson Osei.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son; David Lee Clay, 4 sisters, Perella Thompson Polk (Robert, Sr.), Ernestine Thompson, Ora Thompson Cox (Roosevelt) and Jacqueline Thompson Jackson, 2 granddaughters, Destiny Wideman and Danielle Clay. 3 great grandchildren, Amerie Wideman, Lyrik Smooths and Tyren Irving, god daughter, Doretha Ragland-Cantu, special cousin Stella Miles, and a host of nieces, nephews, nephews relatives and friends.
