Mrs. Marcia Jones

Marcia Lee Allen was born October 8th, 1936, in Mexia Texas to Harry E. Allen and Mary L. Allen. Marcia was the eldest of four children. She accepted Christ at an early age. Marcia and Family moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Marcia received her high school education at I.M. Terrell High School, where she majored in cosmetology. In 1954, Marcia, married the love of her life Edward L. Jones. They were married on April 24, 1954. To this union 4 children were born, Robert, Doris, Jerrell, and Shelia.

Marcia was employed for many years by Pangburn Chocolates where she was an assembly line machine operator.

In 2003 Marcia united with the Golden Gate Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Superintendent Johnny L. Castleberry. She was a faithful member of the choir prior to COVID. She continued to be a faithful member of the church under the leadership of Elder Cedric G. Harrell, SR.

Marcia loved her family, flowers, friends and music. She often said, “give me my flowers while I can smell them”. Her family and friends gave her lots of flowers.

Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Jones. She was married to Edward 67 years. Her parents Harry E. Allen and Mary L. Allen, her brother Billy Allen and her daughter in law Sharon Jones and son in law Rob Roland preceded her in death also. She leaves to cherish her children Robert Jones, Doris Johnson (James), Jerrell Jones (Jamie) and Shelia Roland. Marcia had 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5- great great grandchildren, 3 adopted children, Nell Lee, Katy Gierczak and Marvin Pinkard. Her siblings include Wanda Martin and Adrian Harvey (Jackie) and a host of relatives and friends.

Her resting place will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 8301 Mansfield Hwy, Arlington, TX, 76001, on February 28, 2026.
