Margaret Ann Jensen

Margaret was born July 3, 1924, in Sioux City, Iowa, and was adopted by John and Lena Davies. She went to college at Morningside College in Sioux City where she received her teacher's certificate. Margaret taught elementary school in that area until she married her husband, Laurence Jensen, in December 1946. After marrying, she and Laurence farmed for five years near Armstrong, Iowa. They left farming after the birth of their second son and Margaret decided to teach in the Armstrong school district where she stayed for over 10 years. In 1969, the family moved to Fort Worth, where Margaret worked in apartment management until her husband's passing in 1988. She went back to teaching as a substitute for the Birdville school district until her retirement in 2010. Her greatest pride in life was her special education students.

Margaret was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 42 years, Laurence Jensen; her parents; and her brother, Richard Davies.

Survivors: Sons, Jeffry Jensen and wife, Joan, and John Jensen; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
