

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 At Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Regretfully, the services will be by invitation only-as our nation deals with the current health crisis.
Margie was born on October 15, 1926 in El Paso, Arkansas to parents, Benjamin and Ava Horton. Margie was a proud graduate of Golden Gate Baptist Seminary, at the time located in Mill Valley, California. She met and later married her beloved husband, L. Bert Edwards, who was a pastor. They welcomed two daughters, Linda and Sandra.
The Lord and family were always a priority in Margie's life. She was always supportive of her husband and was very involved in their church. She participated in many activities and very much enjoyed being a pastor's wife. Margie was a loving and caring mother. She was strong and persevered for her family. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with her daughters and spending as much time as possible with her family. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be dearly missed.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 58 years, Bert Edwards.
Left to cherish Margie's memory are her daughters, Linda Edwards and Sandra Lako of Bedford, Texas; sister, Marquita Mason, of Colcord, Oklahoma; grandson, Ken Lako, and his wife, Lisa, of Marietta, Georgia; granddaughter, Lisa Wheeler of Costa Mesa, California; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Samantha Lako of Marietta Georgia, and Garrett Wheeler of Aliso Viejo, California. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
