A special procession for Marian will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral C, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76148. Following the special procession will be a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Hill Church of Christ, 3916 Forest Hill Cir, Forest Hill, TX 76140.
Marian Delores Patmon was born February 7, 1941, to Hermis and Viola Patmon in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Faver High School in 1959 and later graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Anthony School of Nursing in Oklahoma City in 1962. While attending nursing school, she met her lifelong friend, Madeline Edwards.
She married Lee Fisher on December 24, 1964. During their almost 59 years together, they were blessed with three children and lived in Tokyo, Japan, and several cities across Oklahoma and Texas.
She was baptized into the church on February 20, 1966, at Eastside Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. This began her relationship with the church which was central throughout her life. She was actively involved with Bible studies and women’s groups and was always willing to help with whatever was needed.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Patmon.
Marian is survived by her sister, Clara Rhone; her three children: Vicki Postway (Brian); Eric Fisher (Melissa) and Britt Fisher (Nikki); seven grandchildren: Kendrick Thompson, Myles Denman, Malcolm Fisher, Madeline Fisher, Evrit Fisher, Laila Fisher, and Myra Fisher; three great-grandchildren: Kayden Denman, Maliyah Denman, and Mazi Denman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
