On February 15, 2022, Marilyn went home to be with the Lord. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 5, 1949, to Roy Lester Smith and Barbara Ann Underhill Smith. On July 1, 1995, she married Billy George Spurlock of Crowley, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, and her husband.
Kay attended Polly High School in Fort Worth and graduated in 1967. She went on to attend Tarrant County Junior College. She worked for General Dynamics for a number of years before retiring. She served in the Naval Reserves for 12 years and was presented several awards.
She loved music and played the mandolin and the piano. She and her husband Billy had beautiful voices and were active in a band that visited nursing homes to entertain the clients. They attended the First United Methodist Church of Crowley.
Kay has no living immediate family. She has a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
