

Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saginaw United Methodist Church, 209 S. Bluebonnet St., Saginaw. Interment: Margie will be laid to rest next to her husband, John Ed Keeter, in Aurora Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel.
Margie was born in Bowie to Clarence Joseph Dodsworth and Irma Naomi Glover Dodsworth. She attended college briefly and returned to Fort Worth, where she began working as a secretary for the Moslah Shrine Temple. While there, she met and married John Ed Keeter. Margie was a loving mother who devoted her life to her daughter, her husband and her career. She loved to eat Mexican food, go shopping and spend time with friends and family. She and John Ed were well known for their fish fries, pool parties and years of entertaining. In 1994 tragedy struck when, unexpectedly, her husband passed away. Margie continued working and retired from the Moslah Shrine Temple after suffering a stroke in 1997.
She was crazy about her two grandchildren. She loved to vacation in Port Aransas with her family while John Ed was still living. She was an active member of Saginaw United Methodist Church. Margie and John Ed were preceded in death by a stillborn child and sister, Carol Stedman.
Survivors: Daughter, Shannah Lockhart and husband, Scott; grandchildren, John Scott Lockhart and Reese Lockhart; sisters, Helen Cartee and her husband, Dale, Dorothy Boddeker and her husband, Cary; and brother-in-law, David Stedman. She had many nieces and nephews, two of whom live here and were close to her: nieces Traci Hoppenrath and her husband, Kenny, and their family and Cheryl Wolters and her husband, Steve, and family. Mary Keeter Vanlandingham is her sister-in-law and her husband, Johnny.
