Mark Edward Thornton was born September 6, 1964 in New Orleans, Louisiana and passed away May 14, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Richland High School’s class of 1983 and graduated in 2004 from Park University, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
Mark proudly served his country in the US States Air Force from 1984 to 2004 and retired after 20 years of devoted service. Upon his military retirement he began a career with the City of Fort Worth. He loved riding his Harley across the country and was part of the American Legion riders Post 569. He also served as the Secretary with the American Legion Post 569 for years.
Mark loved his family, country music, golfing with friends, motorcycles, barbequing with friends and family in the backyard and college football.
His laugh was contagious and would always help someone in need.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan Taylor and Alison Vrba and husband, Todd; parents, James Thornton Sr. and Margaret Thornton; brothers, James Thornton Jr. and his wife Cindy and Jason Thornton; girlfriend, Ana Lebron; best friend and dog, Moose and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
