

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mark W. Walters, who left us peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 63. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on October 2, 1961, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mark Walters, the son of Robert L. Walters Jr. and Patsy R. Walters. Mark was a man of extraordinary kindness, love, and positivity, who generously gave his time helping others. His deep love for his family knew no bounds, as he would go to great lengths to support those in need. Whenever someone faced a challenge, Mark was ready to lend a helping hand. Mark placed great emphasis on doing things right the first time. His unwavering honor, loyalty, and love made him a truly blessed person to know. Throughout his life, Mark accomplished many remarkable things and consistently went above and beyond in everything he did. From his childhood days playing football, baseball, and basketball to his honorable service in the United States Air Force, Mark’s dedication and achievements were widely recognized and celebrated.
Mark was a loving husband to his wife Catherine, and he adored his two daughters, Whitney and Cydney. When his girls called, his greeting was always, “Hey, sweetheart” or “Hey, Darlin’.”. He cherished his grandchildren and every chance he got, always made sure to come and visit them to celebrate their birthdays and holidays. He loved watching football from college to the NFL; baseball was a must, although golf was his way to sneak in some naps. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was mowing the grass, swimming, or working on the land to prepare for hunting season. All those that knew him would consider themselves blessed and honored to be able to call him family or friend.
Mark Walters is survived by his wife Catherine Fisher, his daughter Whitney Walters and Derrick Austin and daughter Cydney and Justin Cockrell. His brother Robert Walters III and wife Theresa Walters and sister Ginna Dikes. His mother Patsy R. Norcross. His stepchildren, Amanda and Josh Lewis and Bryon Pigg and Emily Wender. His grandchildren, E. Kade Austin, Owen and Hazel Cockrell. His step grandchildren, Christopher Lewis, Nicholas Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Helena Wender, Ira Wender and many more family and friends.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Mark Walters life being held at Laurel Land in Ft. Worth, TX on March 2, 2025, viewing at 1:00; funeral at 2:00; Internment including full Military Honors Ceremony immediately following. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Mark Walters legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
