

Marlene Fae Jones, a devoted mother, wife and dear friend, passed away Friday June 3, 2016, in Burleson, Texas. Visitation:The family will receive guests from 10 a.m to 11 a.m prior to the service. Service: 11 a.m. Friday June 10 at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Memorials: The family requests donations to the Boy Scouts of America https://aplacetogive.scouting.org.(Longhorn Council) Marlene was born on Aug.17, 1932, in Orchard Nebraska to Hoel and Zeta Gibbs. She married Charles E Jones May 30,1951. Until 1969 Marlene played an active role as an army wife. They were stationed out of Fort Hood Texas. In 1969 they retired from the military and became a member of the Hewitt/Waco community. After moving from her home in Hewitt Tx. where she lived for almost 30 years, she moved to the Covenant Place Assisted Living where she made many friends and enjoyed their camaraderie and hospitality for over ten years. We want to thank the Covenant Place caregivers, and the staff and management. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E.Jones; son, Charles E. Jones; sister, Verna Mae Gibbs. Survivors: Her brother, Lee Dale Gibbs; sons, Hoel E. Jones and Brent E Jones; Grandchildren William Jones, Alyson Jones, Kathryn Jones, Rebecca Jones. Great grandson River Jones.
