Born in Venus, Texas, on September 12, 1928, Frances later moved to Everman, Texas, where she met the love of her life, William Earl Hadley, Jr. They married, raised their family, and remained faithful, active members of the First Baptist Church of Everman.
Bound by a deep appreciation for nature, Frances and Bill spent decades gardening, traveling, birdwatching, hunting, fishing, and sightseeing alongside close friends. For many years, she was the owner and operator of a Fabric Store in Everman called Frances’ Fabrics, which served as a warm gathering place for the women of the community. Later in life, she shared her leadership skills as the Director of Volunteers at Huguley Memorial Medical Center, where she developed the program from scratch and continued to advance and refine it until her retirement.
Frances’ passion for nature extended to her civic life. She was a lifetime member of both the Everman Garden Club and the Fort Worth Garden Club, as well as a dedicated Fort Worth Botanic Garden volunteer. When she was not tending to her gardens or enjoying the outdoors, she could be found playing the piano or in the kitchen cooking up something wonderful for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. Morris and Mary Edna Robinett Morris, and her sisters Joyce Ray Morris, Thelma Goodwin, and Mildred Littlejohn, her beloved husband, William Earl Hadley, Jr., her son, William "Billy" Ray Hadley, her daughter, Saundra Kay Wolters, and her son, Larry “ Jack “ Kent Hadley
She is survived by her granddaughter, Angela Williams of Fort Worth, and her husband, David; her grandson, Todd Hadley of Aledo; and her cherished great-grandchildren: Taylor David Williams, Zachary Ty Williams, Bailey Drake Hadley, William Jett Hadley, and Tyler Paige Hadley.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Sante Fe Trails Assisted Living and Wings Over Texas Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
