

Mary Louise was born on February 7, 1930 in Hill County to the late Oscar Lee and Millie Bell (Stewart) Scott. On December 23, 1960 she married Johnny Andrew Jones and he preceded her in death on January, 6, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jewel Heath and brother, Richard Scott.
In June 2001, she married Al Hoover. Mary worked for Montgomery Wards for 2 years. She was also employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 32 years and retired from there in February 1981. After retiring, she worked at our family owned Hickory Stick Bar-B-Q restaurant in Everman, Texas where she baked a variety of pies for 40 years. She enjoyed knitting as well as being outdoors mowing, tending to their goats, picking up pecans and riding around on her four-wheeler. Family was of the utmost importance to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was a very faithful and active member of Hallmark Baptist Church in Crowley, Texas for 17 years and spent the past 3 years serving God at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.
Survivors include: her husband Al Hoover of Everman, son, Mark Jones and wife Marci of Everman, daughters, Cindy Russell and husband Ricky of Everman, Nancy Willis and husband Jack, Sandra Mitchell and husband James, Patsy Burks. Grandchildren: Lyndsey Atkinson and husband Tyler, Lauren Jones, Kaitlyn and Conner Russell, Tammy Gruebbel, Tracy Willis, Shawn Burks, Leesa Thompson, Carrie Matthies, Melissa Little, and Phillip Matthies. Great grandchildren: Skye, Abigail, Hannah, and Samuel Atkinson, Rachel Gruebbel, numerous other great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
