Matthew Charles Nelson

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life Memorial on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 6:00pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, located at 6001 Rufe Snow Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76148.

Matt, as he was lovingly known to family and friends, was born on August 8, 1988 to parents, Laura and Charles Nelson. He was one of four children. From an early age, you could tell Matt was friendly, as he never met a stranger. His largest love in life, was his family. He loved spending and making many memories with them. Matt enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed skiing. When the family began to grow, he welcomed his nieces and nephews with open arms, lovingly gaining the nickname of “Uncle PP”. Long chats and his willingness to be generous with his time with those in need will always hold a special part in his family’s heart.

He was a long time employee of givemethevin.com. Matt had an ease about his talk that led him to being very successful in his sales career. His knowledge and lifelong love of cars helped him be passionate about his career.

A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have shared in his life journey.

Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billie and Robert Colgan.

Left to cherish Matt’s memory are his parents, Laura and Charles Nelson; sister, Mary Clark, and her husband, Sean; brother, Justin Nelson, and his wife, Madison; sister, Charla Polson, and her husband, Blake; nieces and nephews: Olivia and Ella Clark; Dakota and Hayden Nelson; and Tanner, Connor and Samantha Newman. Matt is also survived by a host of distant relatives and friends.
