Visitation and Rosary will be 5-8pm with Rosary starting at 7:30 PM Monday, January 25 at Shannon Funeral Home located at 6001 Rufe Snow Dr., Watauga, Texas 76148.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday January 26 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, Texas 76248 with Father Dennis Smith officiating. Private family Burial will follow at later date.
Maxine Mae (Fox) Propp was born to William and Marguerite Fox in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was the second born of the four Fox sisters. She was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing and her love for helping others lasted more than 45 years working as a registered nurse in the operating room and newborn nursery. She married Robert L. Propp on June 22, 1968 in Denver, Colorado after meeting him at the USO club. They were happily married for over 52 years. Her passions were quilting, playing Tripoli with her family, watching the Dallas Stars, and attending her grandsons’ sporting events. Her greatest passion was traveling with her husband and exploring new places. She was a member of the St. John’s Rosary group. She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She was a founding member and served as a Regent for the Catholic Daughters of America - Court 2513. She and her family were recognized as Family of the Year in 1984 by the Knights of Columbus - Council 4709.
Maxine is survived by her husband Robert Lee Propp; her children, Michelle Griggs and husband Byron of Fort Worth, Texas, Vicki Dudley and husband Warren of Keller, Texas, Robert A. Propp and wife Amy of Wichita Falls, Texas; her sister Elizabeth Taylor and husband Richard of Wichita, Kansas; her brother-in-law Ron Montandon of Hutchinson, Kansas, sister-in-law Barb Propp of Omaha, Nebraska; her grandchildren Bryce Dudley and wife Ashton, Mark Griggs, Blake Dudley, Brett Griggs, Aiden Propp, Beckett Propp; her great-grandson Cooper Dudley; her exchange student/son Mauricio Bozza of Brazil.

Maxine is preceded in death by her daughter Janice Kay Propp; her parents; her sisters Evelyn Lively and Shirley Montandon; her brothers-in-law James Lively and Carl Leroy Propp; and her granddaughter Allison Peyton Griggs
Pallbearers will be Bryce and Blake Dudley, Mark and Brett Griggs, Joe Schueler and Randy Hale.
Memorials can be made to Wreaths Across America Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Maxine’s honor.
