A Memorial Gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church, located at 209 N. Beverly Street, Crowley, Texas 76036. Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Carol Phillips, officiating.
Michael was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Mary Ruth Jones Blekkenk and Clarence Keith Blekkenk on May 6, 1957.
He went to schools in Fort Worth. He worked as the Cold Plate Production Manager for Fittings, Inc. in Fort Worth for almost 32 years, retiring in 2025. Prior to that, he worked for Aadco, which also made cold plates in the same location.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Mary Ruth Blekkenk and Clarence Keith Blekkenk.
Michael is survived by his sister Nada Martin and husband Richard, nephews Joshua and Matthew and their families, his uncle Evan Blekkenk and wife Billie Sue and daughter Sandi, in addition to his aunt Helen Blekkenk, as well as Jerry Beaty has been a great friend and adopted family member.
The family requests that memorials may be given to Angel Valley Hospice in lieu of flowers.
