Ms. Monica LaShaun Washington

Monica LaShaun Washington was born October 18, 1971 in Fort Worth, Texas. Monica the youngest of 8 children, was born to the parentage of George Jenkins and Dorothy Washington.

Monica received her formal education through the Tarrant County School System and graduated from Paul L. Dunbar High School. She later attended Tarrant County Community College where she obtained an accounting degree.

Monica was a faithful believer in her higher power and spiritual beliefs, even though she didn't share a permanent church home.

In Monica's spare time she loved playing bingo and enjoyed spending time with her family.

On November 25, 2025, Monica shared her last earthly breath.

Monica leaves to cherish her memories are her three children, Eboni Washington, London Cleveland, and JaQuaylen Cleveland; two sisters, Paula Washington, Lillie Washington; one brother, Darryl Washington; five grandchildren, SaQuoria Cleveland, JaBraylon Cleveland, Elijiah Gray, Jamar Cleveland, and Kozi Cleveland.

A visitation will be held at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors, located at 4000 Miller Ave, Fort Worth, TX, on December 9, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A wake is scheduled at the same venue in the Pauline Minor Memorial Chapel from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the same day.

The Celebration of her life will take place on December 10, 2025, at 12:00 pm in the Pauline Minor Memorial Chapel at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors, 4000 Miller Avenue, Fort Worth, TX.

Her resting place will be at Skyvue Memorial Gardens, located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd., Mansfield, TX, on December 10, 2025.
