Monte passed from this earthly life on March 23, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Marjorie Harris of Fort Worth, Texas and his niece, Shannon Roberts of College Station, Texas.
He is survived by his nephew, Jeff Harris and his family of Katy, Texas; his nephew, Bruce Harris and his family of Pelham, New York; and his nephew by marriage, Wayne Roberts and his family of College Station, Texas.
Monte spent all his life in Fort Worth, Texas and worked as a truck driver and forklift operator for several grocery merchants.
Monte was in the Navy. He was a long-time member of Bethesda Community Church where he served in the men’s prayer group and was a faithful member to the Sunday night prayer service.
Monte loved physical activity. He walked every day with his dog, rode a stationary bike every day and mowed his lawn every Wednesday. He loved taking care of his neighbors and their lawns. He enjoyed talking to people about the Lord.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
