Charles Wesley Stevenson passed away at the age of 79. The Celebration of his life will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, 10:00 AM at Greater First Missionary Baptist Church, 4218 South Ayers. Visitation: Monday, July 22, 2019 from 12 to 5 PM at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors. Burial: Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.Survivors; children, Ellis Sample (Lori), Charles Sample, Demita Stevenson, Edith Stevenson (Lewis Davis), Esther Buckley (Raymond) and Herman Sample; brothers, James Stevenson, Anthony Stevenson, Albert Stevenson, Clifton Stevenson and Melvin Stevenson; sisters, Etta Marie Stevenson and Wanda Woods (Bobby); a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Bessie Louise Stevensonhis parents, Theodore, Sr.and Gladys Irene Stevenson; also by his brother, Theodore Clinton, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Ann Grant and Mary Jo Stevenson.
