Opal Adroma Cobb

It is with deep sorry that we announce the passing of Opal Adroma Hale Cobb who left us on February 14, 2026 at the age of 97. She was a beloved mother, Nani and a friend to many and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Born March 17, 1928 in Corona, Alabama, Opal Cobb was the child of Willie Mae Files and Andrew Belton Hale. She grew up in Alabama and married Willard Cobb before moving to Texas. Opal enjoyed gardening, quilting, genealogy, and her family.

Opal is preceded in death by her parents and her sister as well as her husband, Willard Cobb.

She is survived by daughter Claudette Cobb Wynn and husband Gary, daughter Janice Cobb Pennington and husband Alton, son Michael Cobb, and daughter Pamela Cobb Boyd and husband Darryl. In addition, Opal is survived by grandchildren Missy Wynn Scarbrough and husband John, Lee Wynn and wife Stephanie, Carmen Wynn Blevins and husband Brian, Crissy Pennington Latham and husband Bryan, Alyson Pennington Reves and husband Stephen, Will Cobb, Susie Cobb and husband Shane Kennelty, Nicole Boyd Neuman and husband Jared, and Noelle Boyd Montague and husband Mark. Her legacy includes 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Our mother's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A viewing will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134, on February 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A graveside service will follow at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Memorial Park of Fort Worth, at the same address, starting at 12:00 pm on February 21, 2026.
