Pauline MacDowell

Pauline was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Milburn to Julius and Oney Henderson Miller. She grew up on the family farm helping her parents run their country store. She was an airplane technician during World War II when she met Marine James MacDowell Jr. They married at midnight on New Year's Eve 1945. She was an award-winning real estate agent, and she and James started a beauty supply store later in life. Pauline was also an amazing homemaker. She was the seamstress, cook, gardener, and handyman for her home and will be greatly missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James MacDowell Jr.

Survivors: Children, Claudia Oney and husband, Bill Paige, Pamela Contreras and husband, Cip, Michaelene Schwab and husband, James, James MacDowell III and wife, Jo Lynn, and Julianna Powell and husband, Buddy; grandchildren, Peter Meyer and wife Mara, William Oney-Page, Lauren Joel Dunbar and husband Duke, Cip Contreras III and wife Rasheda, Jonathan Luke Favors, Carmen Favors, Kayle MacDowell, Jade MacDowell, Trevar Powell, Logan Powell, Skylar Beth Powell, and Blake Powell; and great-grandchildren, Ever, Collin, Elise, Trenton, Faithe, Isabella, Dylan, Landon and Ashton.

The family would like to thank the staff of Green Valley Health Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care of Pauline.
